The first time I visited Joris it was only for a cup of tea, but after seeing the Ofenkartoffel (baked potatoes) on offer I just had to go back for lunch.

The baked potatoes are naturally gluten-free of course you'll just double check the toppings on offer, but the staff were all very helpful. You can either go for a hot topping, or salad, they also offer some soups too although again I'd check they're all gluten-free as they change from week to week. Everything is natural though and they seem really focused on creating great natural food.

I opted for the cauliflower cheese and green bean topping washed down with a fresh peppermint tea which came to €9 - the portion size was excellent, I was famished when I entered but full to the brim by the time I’d left. 2 potatoes and a mountain of topping, more than enough for me. Even the salad portions look like they’d fill you up.

All in all a great place for a gluten-free lunch if you’re in the mitte region of Berlin.
