My first day in Lisbon and the weather was absolutely scorching, luckily I found Pois Cafe just down from the Cathedral.
Initially I just went in for a drink but a quick glance of the menu and I saw they did gluten-free bread for all of their toasties & sandwiches. Result!
I had to give them a try, it was close enough to lunch anyway so I opted for the Lax - Herb butter, horseradish, smoked salmon, cream cheese, red onion, dill, salad:
Gluten-free bread can be a bit hit and miss but this one was really quite nice, delicious filling too, I wouldn't have minded it just as a salad without the bread actually.
It's a bit of a shame that the gluten-free bread costs a whole € 2 extra, seems a bit steep for me.
Still, it was nice to see a place catering for gluten-free diets. The surroundings were cool too, the whole place is one big archway with artwork on the walls.
All in all it was a pleasant lunch, just a shame about the price
